Things to do
Sainte Maxime, in the gulf of Saint Tropez was a fishing village that has developed to become one of the nicest holiday areas. It is on the French Riviera coast. It has a cultural museum, an extensive selection of restaurants no less than 150 to suit all tastes and pockets.
All along its coast you'll find private and public beaches. Starting from La Nartelle with a white sandy beach followed by private beaches where you can have a parasol, table and bedlounge for as little as 20euros/day. These private beaches have restaurants. On the various private and public beaches you'll find water activities. There are tennis courts and a magnificent golf course up on the hills with spectacular views of the sea and the hills.
In the town centre: there is the town centre beach, where a multitude of activities for big and small are installed, beach volleyball competitions, open air cinema and theatre. The port area has cruises to the islands, ferries to St. Tropez and other villages on the water front.
Ste Maxime has a gambling casino, a four theatre cinema, tennis club and a couple of Irish pubs. It has a bustling pedestrian area where you can find local delights from food to souvenirs. You can spend a very pleasant evening walking around the pedestrian area and have a nice not too expensive-live musical evening at a restaurant called the WAFOO.
Ste Maxime is well equipped with parking spaces too.
